Cinnamon roll

Cinnamon Roll – Soft Homemade Recipe

Ingredients

For the dough

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ¼ tsp yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg

For the filling

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground Cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp softened butter

Optional glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make the dough
    In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes. Add sugar, egg, melted butter, salt, and flour. Mix and knead until smooth.
  2. Let it rise
    Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  3. Roll the dough
    Roll the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Add the filling
    Spread butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly.
  5. Roll and cut
    Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 1–1.5 inch slices.
  6. Second rise
    Place the rolls in a baking dish and let them rise for 20–30 minutes.
  7. Bake
    Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  8. Add glaze
    Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, then drizzle over the warm rolls.

Soft, sweet cinnamon rolls are perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a weekend treat.
